I’ve had this drawing sitting in my computer for a while so since I’m posting about what I’m watching! I thought I should share this illustration I did from the Japanese movie called ‘Gantz’.
It’s highly recommended science fiction/action movie about a group of people who passed away and are now fighting for their lives (literally!) by following the orders of a mysterious black sphere called ‘Gantz’. If they score enough points on the missions set by Gantz, they can live again.
To be honest, I haven’t really watched very many (if any) science fiction Japanese movies before so watching this was rather refreshing! Certainly a different twist on the usual ‘fighting Alien’ types of narratives.
In regards to the drawing, I really just wanted to draw their special leather suits! They looked so shiny and awesome on screen! Couldn’t resist trying to draw it.
